About this role
What you’ll do: The primary responsibility of this role is to evaluate structural dynamic performance of products/subsystems/systems for various Eaton Electrical EMEA productlines. The role focuses on evaluating product performance under vibration, seismic, shock, impact, harmonic, random vibration, and transportation loading conditions to support simulation-driven product development and improve product reliability. Incumbent is also required to partner with global & local teams, understand the design intent, develop and validate analysis models to substantiate the engineering designs. In addition to technical execution, the engineer will contribute to the development of standardized analysis methodologies, automation tools, digital engineering solutions, and best practices that strengthen Eaton's ""Analysis First"" strategy. The role is expected to independently manage moderately complex technical challenges, support innovation initiatives, and effectively communicate results and recommendations to global stakeholders while ensuring delivery of high-quality solutions within project timelines. The primary functions for this position include: • Perform Vibration, Seismic, shock, Impact & Harmonic simulations for Eaton products. • Collaborates with technology and product teams to define problem statements • Understands project requirements and solves problems in discussion with local as well as global stakeholders • Participates in development of simulation modeling methodologies in Structural domain • Deploys developed simulation methodologies in Eaton products to strengthen “Analysis First” strategy" Coordinate with stakeholders to develop Structural Dynamics analysis requirements for wide range of Eaton products Interpret, summarize and communicate FEA analysis results to global audience and provide technical and/or design recommendations Contribute in maturing analysis capability of Structural technology domain Develop test plan wherever necessary to verify FEA model and validate analysis approach in correlation with test outcomes Qualifications: Master’s degree in Mechanical / Aerospace/ Applied Mechanics/Ocean Engineering from reputed institute with Design/Structures as specialization 0-2 Years Skills: Thorough knowledge of Structural Mechanics, Structural Dynamics & FEA theoretical fundamentals with ability to perform hand calculation, results interpretation and test data correlation with simulation Good communication skills, Effective collaboration with team members, Problem solving ability
