About this role

Work Flexibility: Onsite This role will be based in one of our Cork sites. Throughout the placement, you will be an integral part of Stryker’s 2027 Cooperative cohort. The North Europe Commercial Finance team supports Stryker’s commercial operations across six countries (Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Finland & Norway), working closely with sales leadership, business units and the wider EMEA Finance organisation. The team supports a business with more than $350M in annual revenue and provides insight to help drive sustainable growth, profitability and cash flow. This placement sits at the intersection of Finance and Commercial Operations. The successful candidate will gain hands-on exposure to regional performance management, business partnering, planning and forecasting, and digital reporting. You will be given meaningful ownership, supported by experienced finance colleagues, and encouraged to improve how information is delivered to decision-makers. For this undergraduate placement, we’re looking for someone who brings both a strong interest in Finance and a passion for Digitalisation. The ideal candidate will be excited to apply their analytical and technical skills to improve reporting capabilities and unlock business insights. Tasks and responsibilities may include: Digital reporting and process improvement: Using Excel, Power BI, Co Pilot and other approved analytics tools to automate recurring work, improve data quality, reduce manual effort and create intuitive dashboards or visualisations for commercial stakeholders. Ad hoc decision support: Contribute to short-cycle analytical projects, including market or portfolio reviews, investment proposals, scenario modelling and other emerging business questions across North Europe. Controls and data governance: Apply disciplined review, documentation and version-control practices. Help ensure analyses are traceable, assumptions are clearly stated and sensitive information is handled appropriately. Month-end and management reporting: Support selected month-end activities relevant to commercial finance, including reporting checks, accrual support, management-account review and preparation of clear performance commentary. Variance and trend analysis: Compare actual results with budget, forecast and prior periods. Work with finance colleagues and commercial partners to understand movements and document the commercial story behind the numbers. Forecasting and budgeting: Support monthly forecasts, annual budget activities and longer-range planning. Assist with data collection, model updates, reasonableness checks, consolidation and preparation of management materials.

What you will learn

How to move from financial data to clear, actionable insight for commercial decision-makers. How forecasting, budgeting, month-end reporting and performance reviews connect across the business cycle.
