Position
Summary The Senior Data Analytics Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable analytics solutions leveraging Power BI, Snowflake, Databricks, and cloud-based data platforms. This role partners with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analytics teams to transform complex data into actionable insights while ensuring performance, scalability, and data governance.
Primary Responsibilities
Analytics and Visualization Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models Create complex DAX measures, calculations, KPIs, and advanced visualizations Optimize report performance, usability, and user adoption Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and governance standards Data Engineering and Cloud Platforms Develop and maintain data pipelines using Databricks and Snowflake Build scalable data models, star schemas, and dimensional structures Perform data integration, transformation, and validation activities Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure data quality and reliability Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, Engineering, or related field 2+ years of experience in BI, Analytics, or Data Engineering 2+ years of Power BI development experience 2+ years of experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks Experience with: Power BI Service DAX Power Query Azure Data Platform Git version control ETL/ELT processes Solid SQL and data modeling expertise Preferred Qualifications: Microsoft Fabric experience Python or PySpark development experience AI Knowledge At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
