Collaborate with and direct outside counsel on various litigation matters, ensuring alignment with the company’s legal objectives and priorities, while supporting risk management and compliance. Handle and manage litigation across a variety of areas, including regulatory matters, employment/wage and hour, commercial, intellectual property and brand protection, privacy and TCPA and personal injury litigation Provide counsel to business units on litigation exposure and risk and advise on litigation strategy Represent company interests in administrative, court, arbitration and mediation proceedings Prepare and review a variety of legal documents, including administrative submissions, pleadings, motions and a variety of agreements, including those involving settlement, releases, arbitration and waviers Conduct, coordinate and support the litigation process, including preservation, litigation holds, and eDiscovery, including collection, review and production Manage litigation budgets, while ensuring efficient and effective representation and risk mitigation Monitor legal trends and industry developments relevant to Tapestry's business Work with Legal Department leadership on special initiatives, policy development and cross-functional projects The accomplished individual will possess... Minimum 12 years of experience, with demonstrated litigation experience in-house, at a law firm and/or with the government   Juris Doctor from an accredited law school; Admission to the State Bar of New York (or licensed in another U.S. state with ability to apply for admission to the State Bar of New York) Ability to translate complex legal concepts in writing and verbally in a way meaningful for business teams Capacity to work independently and manage multiple priorities and a fast-paced workload Ability to work collaboratively to achieve established goals and exercise independent judgment Comfort and a desire to handle and advise on a wide variety of substantive areas and work closely with business teams Our Competencies for All Employees Courage : Doesn’t hold back anything that needs to be said; provides current, direct, complete, and “actionable” positive and corrective feedback to others; lets people know where they stand; faces up to people problems on any person or situation (not including direct reports)
