Role
Summary Lead the infrastructure engineering organization responsible for network telemetry, network automation management, virtualization platforms, and AI-driven Operations strategy. This leader will establish technical direction, develop high-performing engineering teams, and deliver secure, scalable capabilities that improve network visibility, reliability, and operational efficiency within an overall AI operations vision.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coach software and network engineering engineers across telemetry, automation, and virtualization domains. Define and execute the engineering roadmap for network observability, telemetry pipelines, automation platforms, and virtualized infrastructure with a priority on solutioning this roadmap for an AI Operations future state. Partner with Network Engineering, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Architecture, and Product stakeholders to prioritize outcomes and align delivery to enterprise needs. Integrate the principles of software engineering into a comprehensive AI Operations strategy across all team activities which will be used to enhance infrastructure observability and improvement performance of Lowe's infrastructure services. Establish and align with engineering standards for software quality, reliability, security, CI/CD, testing, documentation, and operational readiness. Drive modernization of network automation workflows, including configuration management, orchestration, compliance validation, and remediation. Influences and establishes best-in-class engineering practices through sound design decisions; conducts regular code reviews to ensure teams adhere to best practices; and is directly involved with resolving defects at the code and platform levels. Develop integration principles with vendor platform systems for infrastructure telemetry, automation, and performance. Oversee development and operation of telemetry services that collect, process, store, and present network health and performance data. Lead the design and evolution of virtualization integrations and platform capabilities supporting network and infrastructure services. Manage capacity planning, vendor relationships, financial planning, and delivery metrics for the engineering portfolio.
