About this role
The Product Manager will oversee Global Hatchery (GH) product management to support product development, strategy, and manufacturing forecast/demand planning. The colleague will serve as the liaison between local commercial markets, manufacturing/logistics, and engineering to ensure timely and accurate device orders and to monitor build and delivery schedules to meet customer expectations and deliver a strong customer experience. Communication and collaboration with manufacturing, engineering, and local markets will be critical, as the Product Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for logistics, product performance, and specific customer needs. The colleague will support Global Portfolio Marketing (GPM) in global portfolio brand development and related support resources, as well as the identification and evaluation of innovation opportunities. The Product Manager will work closely with local markets, Commercial Support Leads (CSLs), Global Portfolio Marketing (GPM), GMS/Manufacturing, Finance, and VMRD/Engineering. The colleague will also lead, within the GH Leadership Team (LT), the development and annual communication of the Zoetis Global Hatchery strategy and forward-looking roadmap. A key responsibility will be establishing metrics to monitor and report device and parts issues to GH leadership, manufacturing, and engineering. The Product Manager will develop and maintain a Balanced Scorecard to provide visibility into performance and guide progress toward the strategic goals of the business.
POSITION
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle, including: forecasting/demand plan management, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with manufacturing, engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager also ensures that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals.
Responsibilities
Include, but Not Limited To: Manage the global forecast/demand plan and communicate updates to manufacturing and Finance. Serve as the point person for gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements. Manage requests for BioDevice development, enhancements, and improvements. Serve as the point person for order reviews and coordination among Commercial, Engineering, and Manufacturing. Monitor BioDevice build and shipment schedules and communicate updates with Manufacturing and Commercial teams. Support the Inovoject (Legacy and NXT) and VMD portfolios, as applicable. Capture and track product performance and device failures and communicate findings to Manufacturing and Engineering. Support device strategy development and execution with local markets. Support GPM in the development and execution of the global portfolio brand strategy. Lead the GH Leadership Team in the development and communication of the GH strategy and forward-looking roadmap. Actively participate in and/or lead strategic projects as required.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree. 5+ years of demonstrated accomplishments in product development and/or product management. Ability to translate insights and analytics into strategy and tactical execution and measure results.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Engineering and/or project management experience. Experience with capital equipment. Experience in the poultry industry and/or animal health Experience with SAP.
