 You will be the Skunk Works Subsystem Design Engineer for the Advanced Development Programs (Skunk Works®) which is responsible for pioneering aerospace subsystem innovations.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Skunk Works Subsystem Design Engineer you will be responsible for delivering high‑performance subsystem solutions from concept through production. Your responsibilities will include: Develop, test, and validate new and modified subsystem designs. Troubleshoot system malfunctions to determine root cause and corrective action. Create and maintain 3‑D CATIA models, assemblies, installations, system requirements, interface/supplier control drawings, performance specifications, system checkout procedures and statements of work. Create system requirements, trade studies, sub‑component and flight test plans. Coordinate with suppliers, internal and external integrated product teams, management and the customer. Further Information About This Opportunity MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start. Designs, develops, and tests a variety of power plants, aircraft, missiles, and parts, taking into consideration the most efficient use of the natural laws affecting flight. Establishes structural specifications, performs stress analysis, and conducts performance tests. Basic Qualifications 
 - Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical - Experience with 3DX, CATIA, Solidworks, Pro Engineer, Creo, Unigraphics, NX, or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool - Experience creating and/or modifying drawings - Experience with aircraft subsystem design, installation, and troubleshooting - Hands on engineering experience - Ability to to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance per business requirements   Desired Skills 
 - Experience with hand analysis for initial part layout - Experience with metallic design - Experience with tubing and equipment installation - Excellent writing and communication skills - Active Secret Clearance - 3 years of professional experience; or 1 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $79300.00 - $147300.00 At  Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
