Associate Manager, Specialty Operations Finance Reinsurance Make an Impact in a High-Visibility Finance Role Are you a finance professional with strong reinsurance expertise and a passion for solving complex business challenges? We are seeking an Associate Manager, Specialty Operations Finance Reinsurance to join our team and play a critical role in supporting financial reporting, forecasting, governance, and strategic decision-making for a dynamic and evolving business. In this role, you'll work directly with business leaders, influence financial strategy, and manage analyses involving billions of dollars in premium and reserve activity. What You'll Do
As a key member of the finance team, you will: Lead complex financial analyses and deliver insights that support business performance and strategic decisions. Prepare and support Statutory and GAAP financial reporting requirements. Develop, maintain, and analyze budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow models. Support internal and external audits, including interactions with Deloitte and regulatory agencies. Coordinate governance and control activities, including SOX self-assessments, segregation of duties reviews, and approval authorization processes. Partner with leadership to understand business trends, identify risks, and recommend solutions. Support claim reserve analyses and discontinued lines of business IBNR studies. Drive process improvements and help enhance the effectiveness of financial operations. Coach and mentor analysts while serving as a trusted resource across the team. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders through effective communication and collaboration.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications Strong knowledge of reinsurance accounting and finance . Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Advanced Excel skills, including: Pivot Tables VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP Complex data analysis Macros (preferred level of proficiency) Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 5+ years of relevant finance, accounting, or reinsurance experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior leadership or people management experience. Internal candidate experience or familiarity with the organization.
