Position

Summary The Medical Manager owns the development and execution of the medical strategy for the assigned portfolio in the North of Latin America (NOLA) Cluster. The role integrates clinical evidence, stakeholder insights, patient and healthcare-system needs, and organizational priorities into an impactful medical plan. This position provides scientific leadership across prelaunch, launch and lifecycle stages, builds trusted external partnerships, guides field medical execution and ensures high standards of medical governance and compliance. Key Responsibilities ·   Develop, execute and continuously refine the country medical strategy and annual medical plan, with clear priorities, outcomes, performance indicators, timelines and resource allocation. ·   Lead medical readiness for pipeline and launch assets, including scientific narrative, stakeholder and ecosystem readiness, evidence-gap assessment, internal capability building and post-launch learning plans. ·   Provide scientific and clinical input into country strategic and operational planning while safeguarding the independence, integrity and governance responsibilities of Medical Affairs. ·   Translate clinical evidence, treatment pathways, patient needs, external insights and healthcare-system dynamics into actionable medical priorities and recommendations. ·   Build credible scientific relationships with senior specialists, investigators, scientific societies, institutions, payers and other relevant external stakeholders. ·   Guide MSL strategy and execution, including stakeholder prioritization, engagement objectives, insight quality, scientific capability development and translation of field insights into action. ·   Develop and oversee medical education, advisory boards, congress plans, peer-to-peer initiatives and scientific communication activities based on identified educational needs. ·   Design or co-lead evidence-generation plans, including investigator-initiated studies, real-world evidence, data dissemination and publications, as applicable. ·   Partner effectively with Regulatory, Market Access, Clinical Development, Commercial, Patient Engagement and Corporate Affairs in a matrix organization. ·   Support scientific components of access and reimbursement discussions through robust evidence, understanding of decision pathways and clear communication of unmet medical needs. ·   Review medical and scientific materials and activities within locally assigned responsibilities and ensure compliance with applicable standards and procedures. ·   Excel at managing budget, vendors, operational timelines, activity quality and risks; monitor outcomes and adjust priorities based on evidence and insights. ·   Ensure timely management of medical inquiries, pharmacovigilance information, product-quality information and other reportable information according to applicable requirements. Required Qualifications ·   Medical degree. Postgraduate training in a clinical specialty, pharmacology, epidemiology, public health, clinical research or a related discipline is mandatory. ·   At least 3 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, including meaningful experience in Medical Affairs, field medical, clinical development, clinical research or evidence generation. ·   Demonstrated experience developing and executing medical strategy and leading complex projects across multiple functions and stakeholders. ·   Strong scientific and clinical acumen, with the ability to critically evaluate evidence and communicate complex data to senior scientific and business audiences. ·   Experience building credible relationships with external experts and understanding stakeholder networks and decision pathways in Colombia. ·   Working knowledge of medical governance, clinical research standards, pharmacovigilance, pharmaceutical industry compliance and applicable local regulations. ·   Proven
