We perform installation, rigging, millwrighting, and maintenance for manufacturing and industrial markets across the Southeast. Job Summary Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks Tool Room Attendant to work on a project in Clayton, NC.

Responsible for locating, receiving, stocking, and issuing tools. Maintains the tool room in a neat and orderly manner. Delivers packages to recipients daily. Assists in cleaning of the shop or elsewhere as needed. Operates forklift(s) or drives company vehicles as needed to complete daily tasks. Assists co-workers with tooling needs and answers questions regarding inventory. Checks all tools for any defects before the items are sent out to the jobsite. Returns tooling to assigned tool room locations once items are returned to shop. Maintains the lawn around the Raleigh office building. Assists tool room supervisor with day to day duties of the tool room. Performs other duties as required.

Skilled in both written and verbal communication. Complete all Safety and general job training as required by SIC. Observe SIC and Customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.

Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to fifty pounds. Must be able to safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops and other elevated positions, as well as, confined spaces. Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position. Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools. Must be capable of standing for long periods of time, bending consistently, working in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders, in personnel lifts, in workboats, and working in awkward body positions.

Conditions include working in office, shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions.
