Job Title: Associate Producer Requisition ID: R028121 Job Description: Job Title: Associate Producer, Mobile Reporting To: Senior Producer, Mobile Department: Activision Mobile Studio/Solid State Studios Location: Santa Monica, CA Your Mission Welcome to Solid State Studios, the mobile publishing and development arm of Activision, dedicated to developing the best mobile games in the world. This role will be for an unannounced mobile title based on an established, world-class franchise. You will work directly with an external developer to ensure the game arrives on quality, on time, and on budget. Specific duties and realms of ownership include bug and task database management, localizations, legal clearance, build schedules, risk assessment and mitigation planning, first party submissions, build feedback, user testing planning and coordination, and other similar aspects of production. This role is based in our Santa Monica, CA office and follows an onsite work schedule of four days per week. Work arrangements may change at the company's discretion to meet business needs.
Your Profile
As an Associate Producer, you must first and foremost be excited about bringing a project to completion. In this role, you will be responsible for the quality of projects and meeting deadlines. You will be involved in managing teams, developing and monitoring schedules, and overseeing the ongoing progress of assignments. You will be working daily with the Senior Producer and with team leaders and management to ensure deliverables are completed. Your objectives Participate in project planning and development Manage the bug database Coordinate asset reviews with legal teams at the direction of production leadership Work closely with Developers, QA, and other partner groups to supervise submission of SKUs to first parties Contribute creative feedback to production team leadership to help ensure product is meeting quality and feature goals Organize and run user tests with both consumers and internal partners Participate in writing the project plans, supporting/proposal documents, and progress reports Organize, attend, and keep records for production meetings Manage build schedules, deliveries, and distribution Hire, contract, and manage 3rd party vendors Be a secondary point of contact for cross-functional groups including Brand Management, Marketing, PR, etc.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum of 2 years experience in project management and/or team management in the video game industry Excellent communication skills Resourcefulness, curiosity and ability to take initiative Ability to work with structure, rigor and attention to detail Passionate about video games Shipped at least one live operated/free to play project in the video game industry Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or other project management software Fluency in AI-driven automated processes for a variety of production workflows, such as bug database management and asset approvals Bonus Points A degree in project, production or operations management Our World At Activision, we strive to create the most iconic brands in gaming and entertainment.
