Hourly –Maintenance Journeyman (J1) Pipefitter Job Posting Template Location : Springfield Mill 801 42 nd Street Springfield, Oregon 97478 541-741-5592 Category/Shift : Hourly Full-Time · Days (6am-4:30pm – Monday-Thursday) Job Requirements · At least 18 years of age · Minimum high school graduate, GED, or equivalent work experience · Eligible for employment in the US · At least three ( 3 ) years of work experience in any one of the following mechanical disciplines: PIPEFITTING · Must be willing to meet the following requirements: o Work in industrial conditions (may be warm/hot, dusty/dirty, around hazardous chemicals, noise, heavy machinery, elevated working surfaces, and confined spaces (with proper safety training and safety protection) o Undergo technical online testing, interview, and a formal hands-on assessment of skills o Undergo a drug screen for illicit use of drugs as a condition of employment o Undergo an job related health assessment as a condition of employment o Submit to periodic drug screens as a condition of employment o Work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule o Work overtime on a regular basis and with last minute notification o Work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis o Wear required safety equipment It is preferred that candidates have the following skills and/or experience(s): · Associates degree or certification(s) in any of the following mechanical disciplines: MILLWRIGHT, MACHINIST, WELDING, or PIPEFITTING · A minimum of 3 years work experience in any one of the following mechanical disciplines: PIPEFITTING · Relevant work experience in an industrial environment. The Job You Will Perform: This position will assist journeymen-level mechanical maintenance technicians in routine maintenance work as well as performing many duties independently.
