POSITION SUMMARY: ITW Global Brands is currently looking for a Human Resources Manager to support the Professional Applications business unit located in Lakeland, Florida, reporting directly to the HR Director. This position is strategic in nature but requires a significant amount of hands-on tactical work as well. This role will be the primary HR partner to our Business Unit Manager providing day-to-day professional HR support and policy administration for the Lakeland manufacturing location.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Enterprise Strategy & Objectives: Develop an understanding of the ITW Business Model with the ability to lead and implement meaningful change based on business unit and division strategic priorities. In concert with leadership, build and champion a positive work environment, grounded in ITW core values (Trust, Respect, Integrity, Shared Risk & Simplicity) and viewed as an excellent place to work. Human Resource Management & Business Partnership: Work closely with the HR Director, Business Unit Manager, local managers & client groups, providing expert guidance, coaching and support on all HR related matters including talent acquisition & management, performance & compensation management, workforce planning, employee experience, employee relations, local employment law compliance and disciplinary case support. Talent Acquisition & Development: Work with the HR Director to further enhance the Division’s talent strategy, and deliver best practices in recruitment, talent selection and onboarding for both exempt and nonexempt roles, to accelerate their integration into the ITW’s Culture and Business Model. Partner with management on the identification and accelerated development of "High Potential" employees. HR Process: Monitor and update company policies and procedures ensuring full legal compliance. Support FMLA/Leave of Absence tracking. Promote, support, and adhere to all safety, environmental and quality related policies and procedures. REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Bachelor’s degree in business, HR or equivalent is required. 8+ years prior HR generalist or business partnering experience. Demonstrated experience in managing a range of employee relations issues preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong HR business partnership and influence capabilities. Ability to understand business strategy and its HR implication. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to navigate a fast-paced working environment with a high degree of flexibility. Experience in recruiting and onboarding, including attracting and retaining skilled labor in a manufacturing environment and professional roles. A solid understanding of governmental regulations and employment law; the ability to research, analyze, and interpret various data. Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to prioritize work and manage projects. Attention to detail is critical. MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. Ability to travel 15 to 20% in the US.
PREFERRED SKILLS
PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred. Experience with HR systems such as Work Day and Day Force. ITW is an equal opportunity employer.
