Location Specific Information: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Finance Coordinator to join our dynamic team at Global Business Services (GBS), part of Thermo Fisher Scientific. The successful candidate will be a key member of our finance team, specifically focusing on Employee Expense Management . The Senior Finance Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of our expense processes, contributing to the financial health and operational excellence of the organization.

The role will be based in the Procure to Pay department with the possibility for promotion into other areas within the Team or within the department where qualifications and deeper accounting knowledge are developed.
Main Responsibilities
Audit and process expense reports within the company ERP system, ensuring compliance with local accounting regulations and Thermo Fisher Scientific internal policies and procedures. Provide support and guidance to employees on expense-related queries through various communication channels. Participate in the corporate credit card processes or administer the program which may include handling queries, payments, salary deductions, and reconciliations. Provide backup support during financial audits and respond to accounting-related queries. Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of company expense policies and relevant industry regulations. Advise and guide employees on expense policies and procedures. Prepare detailed reports and analyses on expense trends, variances, and compliance metrics for management review. Actively contribute to PPI initiatives, customer service-oriented or continuous improvement projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and streamline workflows. Support Accounts Payable (AP) for month-end closing activities. Education: - Bachelor’s degree in economics/finance/accounting or higher. Experience: - At least 2+ years of experience in an international corporate environment, preferably within the Finance area, is considered a strong advantage. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: - Excellent in English (verbal and written). - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. - Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. - Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting. - Time management and organizational skills.
