Our equipment is designed and purpose built for use in the scrap, material handling, and recycling industries: As a Field Service Technician, you are responsible for new equipment set-up and commissioning, as well as trouble shooting and repair for the FUCHS product line. Additionally you will create content for, and conduct, PowerPoint classroom training and hands-on demonstrations for service training schools. You will work closely with engineers and the production team to support, enhance and improve our products.
Responsibilities
As a Field Service Technician, you will be an expert technician for the FUCHS product line. You will assist dealers and customers with the set-up, safety and operations, troubleshooting and repair of material handler equipment. You will provide: · On-site technical support, installation and service for the FUCHS product line. · Understand and educate on equipment designs, specifications and equipment requirements. · Document work and prepare field service reports. · Escalate equipment quality issues to initiate quality alerts and prevent repeat failures. · Effectively provide engineering with field performance data and recommended improvements. · Act as a Fuchs Terex advocate in all situations. · Manage time, skills and resources to produce maximum volume of work with the least amount of errors. · Review reported failures and assist Warranty Administrator with claim evaluation. · Support the Help Desk Technician · Assist with the display and simulation of equipment and technical presentation · Assist Training Coordinator with the development and presentation of training materials. Basic Qualifications · High school graduate or GED equivalent · 2 years’ experience working knowledge of Electronics, Hydraulics, Engines and Electrical Troubleshooting · Passport for international travel (ability to obtain if not currently in possession of one) Preferred Qualifications Solid mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems and the ability to read and understand schematics and engineering drawings. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required, both in-person and over the phone. Ability and willingness to make decisions with purpose and a strong sense of urgency to resolve equipment failures promptly. Ability to work independently and use available resources to complete tasks with minimal supervision. Must interact well with others in a diverse environment and be a team player. Must be dependable and punctual. Good computer experience required, including working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word.
