Job Title: CNC Finishing Group Leader Department: Manufacturing Summary: The principal objective of the position is to provide direct supervision of the CNC Finish Steel department in order to meet safety, delivery, quality, service and cost objectives. This is a working group leader role along with direct supervision of department members. Incumbent must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Programming and Hard Cutting. Incumbent must be resourceful in developing solutions to spontaneous and routine technical/equipment problems. Incumbent must participate in special improvement projects. For immediate team members, s/he must maintain high moral and positive attitude, good communication, and interpersonal skills and promote employee development through training and involvement. Complete other projects as assigned. Primary Duties: Attend Manufacturability reviews and provides technical input for direction Provide technical guidance to staff. Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Records all Non Conformances and determines and maintains all corrective actions that are needed. Adheres to all NyproMold work procedures and quality policies Observes all health and safety requirements and maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition. Performs reasonably related duties as assigned. Develops plans and strategies to ensure positive employee relations and effective communications are maintained across Supervisory Duties: Supervise programming and machining activities to ensure that results meet or exceed all established quality requirements Group Leader/Programming duties should maintain a 20/80 split respectively Participate in related personnel actions, including selections, training, performance appraisal, mentoring, discipline and safety Determine priorities and develop weekly production schedules and make daily assignments Develop, review, update and implement department training plans and standard operating procedures. Arrange for the support of other activities (e.g. maintenance, engineering) Assist subordinates in troubleshooting and problem solving Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization policies and applicable laws. Effectively implements company policies and practices for HR employee relations issues Effectiveness in managing Set Clear Expectations Share information, and authority to act Build collaborative relationships with metrology and other departments Leverage diversity of skills, styles, and backgrounds Hold People accountable for goals and objectives Skills and Abilities: High school diploma or equivalency exam Technical degree in related field or equivalent experience Minimum 4 years in a mold manufacturing environment. Ability to read and write English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to lift push pull carry up to 50lbs, climb ladders, etc as needed for this position General knowledge of injection molding and secondary processes Knowledge of CAM Programming. Basic use of manual inspection equipment. Demonstrate ability to deal analytically with complex situations in a decisive and timely manner Effective communication and interpersonal skills are required to ensure all communications are fully understood Strong organization and self management skills The hourly pay range for this role is $27.60 - $49.71.
