Job Summary
As a Vice President Acquisition Strategy in the Card Acquisition and Growth team , you will lead an integrated strategy to grow new accounts by optimizing offers, channel investment, and the end-to-end application experience. You will partner closely with an external co-brand partner and internal teams to align plans to business goals, governance requirements, and risk boundaries. Your work will translate performance insights into clear actions that improve conversion, portfolio quality, and sustainable profitability. Job responsibilities: • Lead new account acquisition strategy, including investment planning, channel prioritization, and performance optimization • Partner day to day with the external co-brand partner on acquisition strategy, marketing execution, and launch readiness • Own offer strategy and investment planning, ensuring alignment to approved commitments and governance requirements • Set and evolve acquisition channel strategy, including expansion opportunities and performance targets • Improve the digital application flow and card selection experience to reduce friction and increase conversion • Drive requirements for new launches, coordinating business, marketing, channel, analytics, risk, compliance, and operations needs • Provide data-driven input to underwriting, lending, and pricing discussions to support responsible growth • Monitor campaign, channel, funnel, and model performance; identify drivers, risks, and recommended course corrections • Support testing, validation, post-launch reviews, and issue remediation plans • Maintain operating discipline through documentation, approvals, tracking, and executive updates • Partner across marketing, product, analytics, finance, risk, legal, compliance, operations, and technology to execute plans Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills: • Seven or more years of experience in credit card acquisition, financial services marketing, growth strategy, digital product, or related fields • Strong knowledge of acquisition offer strategy, marketing investment planning, and campaign performance management • Experience managing acquisition channels and improving digital application journeys and funnel performance • Demonstrated ability to use data to evaluate performance by offer, channel, segment, model treatment, cost, conversion, and portfolio quality • Comfort balancing growth, customer experience, profitability, partner commitments, governance requirements, and risk boundaries • Strong communication skills with the ability to convert complex analysis into clear recommendations • Proven ability to influence and align stakeholders in a matrixed environment without direct authority • Experience working in a controlled environment with strong documentation, approvals, and governance routines • Ability to plan and execute launch readiness, testing, validation, and post-launch performance reviews • Strong execution skills, including managing timelines, dependencies, and cross-functional delivery • High ownership mindset and ability to operate with ambiguity while staying outcome-focused Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills: • Familiarity with underwriting, lending, pricing, credit decisioning, or model strategy • Experience partnering with a co-brand or retail partner on acquisition and marketing execution • Experience improving application experience through experimentation, testing, and iterative optimization • Ability to build investment cases and connect marketing spend to business outcomes and portfolio quality • Experience leading performance diagnostics and translating insights into operating plans • Experience presenting to senior leaders with concise narratives and clear
