Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Production Assembler - 3rd Shift. The hours for this role are 10:00 pm - 5:00 am The hourly rate for this position is $24.75 per hour. What you’ll do: Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Production Assembler – 3rd Shift. We are a leader in the design and production of critical power distribution products for many specific segments. The Production Assembler- 3rd Shift role offers a 32.5-hour work week with a $3/hour shift premium. Hours: 10:00pm-5:00am and will start Monday night and go until Saturday morning. 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Full Benefits and 401k plan, PTO, and paid holidays are offered to you day one of employment. The hourly rate for this position is $24.75 per hour. The Assembler will timely and accurately build sub-assemblies and assemblies to customer specifications involving complex and repetitive wiring and mechanics for Power Distribution Units (PDU), and Transformers. In this function you will: • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to build sub-assemblies and assemblies • Use cranes to pick up, and move transformers and materials • Be responsible for visual inspections of material before and after assembly • Use various fixtures, gauges, hand tools and power tools to assemble, adjust, or repair product • Perform point to point wiring during the assembling of Power Distribution Units • Work with sheet metal to build transformer legs and additional components related to transformer assembly • Ability to operate oven and VPI tanks as part of the assembly process. • Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and make necessary adjustments when required in order to meet quality goals • Adhere to company, environmental, health, safety rules and regulations • Provide process and safety improvement ideas • Ensure machines and tools are properly calibrated and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S+ Qualifications: Required (Basic): • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation Preferred: • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution • Experience in production, packaging or construction • Previous experience with standard operating procedures • Previous experience with product electrical assembly, maintenance and/or repair • Basic working knowledge and experience with computers Skills: • Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility • Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures, wiring diagrams and bills of material • Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime, willingness to flex/train in different areas as needed • Ability to lift, push and pull 40 lbs • Ability to use a crane once fully trained to lift items • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
