At Seagate, we know that data is always in motion, alive, connected—and we harness it in order to maximize human potential Drive Functional Engineering comprises five core engineering disciplines: Read/Write (R/W), Head Media Electrical (HME), Servo (SVO), Mechanical (MECH), and Head Disk Integration Group (HDIG). The organization serves as a technical support team for Hard Disk Drive (HDD) products, working closely with Product Engineering, Design Center, and Reliability teams to resolve technical issues, enhance product quality and reliability, improve manufacturing yield, and optimize test efficiency. Each function provides specialized expertise to support the successful development, qualification, and production of HDD products About the role - you will:
Provided on-site technical support in term of Servo function for manufacturing operations, product qualification, reliability investigations, and new product introductions
Developed data analytics tools, automation solutions, and engineering applications using Python, C, and MATLAB to improve HDD quality, yield, reliability, and test efficiency
Partnered with Product Engineering, Design Center, Reliability, and Manufacturing teams to troubleshoot complex HDD issues and drive root-cause resolution
Conducted advanced data analysis, Electrical Failure Analysis (EFA) using proprietary HDD diagnostic tools to identify product and process improvements
Led and supported test process optimization initiatives, generating innovative solutions to enhance product performance and manufacturing efficiency
Monitored product quality, yield, reliability, and performance metrics, proactively identifying risks and driving corrective actions
Served as a technical consultant and subject matter expert for Product Engineering and Reliability teams, supporting critical business and engineering decisions
Collaborated across multiple engineering disciplines including R/W, Servo, Mechanical, HME, and HDIG to deliver end-to-end HDD solutions
Applied engineering and statistical methodologies to improve product robustness, accelerate problem resolution, and support successful product ramps

Your experience includes
Bachelor's or Master degree in Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Physic, Material Science or another related field
Hard Disk Drives manufacturing is preferable
Programming skills are preferable on C/Python, Matlab, Oscilloscope
Knowledge and understanding in signal and system, basic electrical and circuit
Knowledge of data analysis
Good with back-end and front-end web-application. Interesting in Machine learnin/AI
