As a Senior Onboarding Specialist (Intake Care Analyst), you will play a key role in ensuring referrals move smoothly through the onboarding process while helping teammates grow, improving workflows, and driving operational excellence. Hours: 8:30am-5pm EST, Monday-Friday Responsibilities · Ensure referrals are processed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with established workflows and quality standards. · Support timely patient access by reviewing, documenting, and assigning referral information received through multiple channels. · Serve as a subject matter expert for onboarding processes, systems, and operational best practices. · Lead onboarding and training activities for new team members, helping them build confidence and achieve success in their roles. · Develop and maintain training materials, standard operating procedures, job aids, and reference resources that promote consistency and quality. · Provide guidance and support for complex cases, workflow questions, and process escalations. · Partner with team members and cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities that improve efficiency, accuracy, and the patient experience. · Conduct quality reviews and use insights to strengthen processes and team performance. · Communicate updates, reinforce best practices, and support the successful adoption of new initiatives. · Contribute to special projects and operational improvements that help the organization achieve its goals.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications · High school diploma or GED. · Minimum 2 years of experience in prior authorization, insurance verification, patient onboarding, intake operations, or a related healthcare setting. · Knowledge of healthcare onboarding workflows and operational processes. · Strong communication , organization, problem-solving, and customer service skills. · Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. · Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. · Experience using intake management systems or similar healthcare technology platforms. · Commitment to protecting confidential patient information and delivering excellent service to internal and external customers. Preferred Qualifications · Experience training, coaching, or mentoring team members. · Experience developing process documentation, training materials, or standard operating procedures. · Experience supporting workflow improvement initiatives or operational projects. · Advanced knowledge of referral intake, patient access, or specialty pharmacy operations.
