About this role
About the Team
Like every team at OpenAI, the Marketing team contributes directly to our mission of responsible and widespread AI adoption. The EMEA B2B Marketing team translates global priorities into regionally relevant programs that drive awareness, consideration, pipeline, adoption, and long-term customer trust. We partner closely with Sales and GTM, Product Marketing, Field and Executive Marketing, Content, Customer Marketing, Partner Marketing, Comms, Events, Marketing Operations, and regional leadership. DACH is one of OpenAI’s most important markets in EMEA. Our opportunity spans major enterprises and digital natives, ambitious startups, developers, partners, and a highly influential business community navigating the adoption of AI.
About the Role
As the B2B Marketing Manager for DACH, you will own the integrated B2B marketing strategy and execution for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. You will be a close commercial partner to local Sales and GTM leadership, translating market insight, revenue priorities, target-account needs, and global launches into locally relevant programs that create pipeline, accelerate complex opportunities, deepen customer relationships, and grow adoption. You will carry clear pipeline goals and be accountable for Marketing’s measurable contribution to commercial outcomes in DACH. These goals will be established through the regional planning process and will evolve with the priorities and maturity of the market. You will be expected to understand the pipeline, make informed investment decisions, and demonstrate how marketing activity creates, influences, or accelerates revenue opportunities. This is a generalist role spanning field and executive marketing, demand generation, account-based programs, content, customer marketing, partnerships, events, and product launches. You will bring these channels together into a focused DACH B2B plan, drawing on specialist capabilities within the EMEA B2B Marketing team in London and global Marketing teams. A particularly important partnership will be with the DACH Consumer Marketing Lead: together, you will align market strategy, narratives, launches, audience priorities, channels, and major moments so B2B and B2C activity is coordinated, complementary, and mutually reinforcing. Close partnership with Marketing Operations will be crucial. Together, you will establish campaign infrastructure, audience and account segmentation, attribution, reporting, and operating rhythms that give Sales and Marketing a reliable view of performance and inform where the team should invest next. The role requires someone who can move comfortably between strategy and execution: shaping the market plan, participating in pipeline reviews, developing a priority-account program, adapting a global campaign, briefing an agency, supporting an executive event, and personally unblocking delivery when needed. This role is preferably based in Munich. Berlin may be considered for an exceptional candidate. Regular travel within DACH and to London will be required. In this role, you will: Own and execute the integrated DACH B2B marketing plan, aligned with regional priorities, local revenue goals, market opportunities, and customer needs. Partner closely with the DACH Consumer Marketing Lead to ensure B2B and B2C strategies and activities are coordinated and complementary, while retaining clear accountability for B2B pipeline and revenue outcomes. Carry pipeline goals for DACH B2B marketing and be accountable for demonstrating measurable contribution to pipeline creation, influence, opportunity progression, and revenue outcomes. Partner closely with DACH Sales and GTM leadership on territory planning, target-account prioritisation, pipeline goals, strategic opportunities, and quarterly business reviews. Build full-funnel programs across field and executive marketing, demand generation, account-based marketing, content, customer advocacy, partnerships, events, and digital channels.
