The Opportunity
Do you have a passion for quality and a drive to make a real impact in an innovative environment? Avantor is seeking a Quality professional ( QA Engineer / Senior Quality Assurance Officer) to support the expansion of manufacturing capabilities in Hillegom. This role will play a key part in ensuring new processes, equipment, and products are introduced in compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. Working closely with Engineering, Operations, Validation, and Project teams, you will support quality systems, risk management, change control, validation activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Support qualification and validation activities for new equipment and manufacturing processes. Review and approve validation and quality documentation. Lead risk assessments and support change control activities. Investigate deviations, non-conformances, customer complaints, and CAPAs. Conduct root cause investigations and support corrective actions. Support internal audits and supplier qualification activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and process improvements. Maintain and improve Quality Management System (QMS) processes.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Validation, or Manufacturing Quality. Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or regulated manufacturing environments. Knowledge of CAPA, Deviations, Change Control, Root Cause Analysis, Risk Assessments, and Validation. Understanding of ISO 9001 and/or GMP requirements. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Fluent English; Dutch language skills are highly preferred. Why Join Avantor?
