Job Description
The Director I, Construction Support position directs the operations of a multi-discipline department within the Construction Support group, which provides construction and technical support to projects during the conceptual, design, and construction phases of a project. This position typically supports the functional aspects for assigned functions to the corporate construction group and any of the business groups. This position may serve as a Department Manager for a functional discipline.
• Provide assistance and technical direction to business units
• Develop departmental construction support programs and procedures
• Typically manage personnel and provide an environment for the development and professional advancement of staff members, including on-the-job, formal training, development opportunities, and timely performance feedback
• Leverage internal and external resources to administer policies and procedures consistently across all business groups, lines, functions, and locations
• Analyze situations, identify and forecast pertinent problems and evaluate realistic options; and recommend/implement appropriate course of action
• Other duties as assigned Basic Job Requirements
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and eighteen (18) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twenty-two (22) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines •
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner Other Job Requirements

• Ability to speak/read multiple languages • Possess operational and personnel management skills
• Possess problem solving, organizational, and conflict resolution skills
• Extensive understanding of construction operations and support functions
• Ability to collaborate and adapt to changing conditions
• Capable of performing constructability assignments in the office(s) and/or at the site
