Back End Data Architect and Engineer, Senior The Opportunity: As a back-end developer, you know that a good site or system needs the right combination of clean code, APIs, analytics, and infrastructure to develop a user-focused solution. We are seeking an expert-level back-end architect to strengthen and scale our mission data-processing systems. This role is central to advancing high‑volume dataflow reliability, back-end performance tuning, and distributed system resilience for critical mission platforms.  In addition to core back-end responsibilities, this engineer will work on  sof tware stacks that directly support digital network intelligence workflows, enabling analysts and mission operators to execute and accelerate critical cyber missions. The world can’t wait.  You Have: Experience  with Apache Kafka for distributed event streaming, Elasticsearch for indexing, search, and cluster performance optimization, and PostgreSQL for schema design, tuning, and large-scale query optimization Experience  designing or scaling systems that process large amounts of structured and unstructured data Experience with distributed systems fundamentals such as concurrency, data modeling, observability, durability, and failover patterns Experience enabling or supporting cyber mission workflows, signals or dataflow systems, or digital network intelligence processes Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance Bachelor's degree Nice If You Have:   8+ years of experience with engineering production Experience working with mission systems, cyber operations tooling, or intelligence support platforms Experience with other components of our stack such as Go services, microservices architecture, container orchestration, and CI / CD pipelines TS/SCI clearance Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information .

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
