What You Will Do
Manages truck loading and/or unloading in an efficient manner, ensuring all paperwork meets corporate, customer, and governmental requirements. Pays close attention to detail and adheres to standard operating procedures. Implements good judgment when instructing scale customers. Interacts in a professional manner with truck drivers, their dispatchers, and customers. Dispatching of trucks: issuing truck drivers proper placards, seals, labels, material safety data sheets, bills of lading and any other paperwork necessary to meet DOT hazardous material regulations as well as Kinder Morgan security and loading/unloading procedures. Communicates effectively with operations and administrative personnel to expedite product movements. Performs calculations on product movements. Correctly complete export paperwork for any Canadian shipments. Sorts and files records. Maintains various filing systems in a neat and accurate manner. Including customer order, correspondence, and permits. Checks and proofreads customer orders and computer generated data reports. Consistently maintains records regarding truck movements and delay situations in the on-line truck log. Diligent in maintaining FM system with regard to product movements to ensure close monitoring by the pumphouse. Write, type, and enter information into several computer databases to prepare loading instructions for drivers, Bills of lading, and/or other documents. Photocopies documents, faxes, and restock office supplies (placards, bulk tags, forms, seals, etc) Completes special projects as assigned. Maintains a safe work environment and completes required EHS training. Actively participates in the quality improvement process. Perform work as directed by management. Perform job related special assignments as required. Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors(s), adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules, as well as, take on additional job responsibilities as needed. Ability to take initiative and work with co-workers to accomplish defined goals in a fast paced environment. Other duties as directed. What You Need · Education · HS diploma or equivalent. College experience preferred. · Experience, Specific Knowledge, Certification, Licenses · · 1-3 years experience in the chemical or petroleum industry. · Competencies/Skills · Ability to take direction and follow standard operating procedures. · Strong attention to detail. · Able to work in a fast paced, stressful environment – including multi-tasking. · Strong computer skills – MS word, excel. · Solid verbal communication skills are required. · Working Conditions · Office environment situated inside liquid bulk terminal. · Required to work during any of the hours of operation, which may include rotating shifts. · May be required to work overtime to cover absence, business demands, and/or vacation. · May be required to lift up to 50 pounds. · Supervisory Responsibility · Teamwork.
