About this role

What you’ll do: 
 The bid manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end tender and proposal management process for Eaton's Power Distribution and Power Quality solutions, with a strong focus on data center PTU projects. The role coordinates cross-functional teams to develop commercially competitive and technical compliant bid submissions while ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality proposal packages. The Bid Manager serves as the central role of coordination between Sales, Field Application Engineer (FAE), Product Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, and external partners to ensure all technical, commercial, and contractual requirements are addressed before bid submissions. 1. Lead the complete bid management process from receipt of customer inquiry through final tender submission. 2. Develop and maintain bid schedules, ensuring all deliverables are completed within customer deadlines. 3. Coordinate bid kick-off meetings and establish clear responsibilities across all stakeholders. 4. Track bid progress, identify risks, and proactively resolve issues that may impact submission timelines 5. Ensure compliance with customer tender requirements, technical specifications, commercial conditions and internal governance process. 6. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including FAE, Product Management, Sub-vendors/System Integrators, Finance, Supply Chain     and Sales. 7. Consolidate costing information from internal product teams and external suppliers into a comprehensive bid costing model (ICS). 8. Verify cost accuracy and completeness. 9. Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives to improve bid competitiveness. 10. Ensure pricing complies with internal approval processes. 11. Compile complete commercial and technical proposal packages, including but not limited to following:      a. Pricing Schedule       b. Commercial proposal      c. Delivery Schedule      d. Technical proposal      e. Compliance matrix       f. Exception and clarification      g. Supporting certification and documentation      Ensure proposal presentation meets customer requirements and perform final quality checks prior submission. 12. Process improvement      a. Maintain bid documentation, templates, and proposal libraries      b. Capture lessons learned from completed bids to improve future tender quality and efficiency.      c. Develop standardized working tools and proposal templates where applicable.      d. Monitor bid performance metrics such as win rate, proposal quality, and submission cycle time.    Qualifications: 
 Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline. Minimum 8 years of experience in bid management, proposal management, tendering, application engineering, or project management within the industry. Experience with MV/LV power distribution equipment and integrated electrical systems. Knowledge of IEC/IEEE standards and electrical power distribution products, including Switchgear, Transformers, Busway, Control & Protection Equipment, Power Quality Equipment (UPS Systems, Batteries), and Cooling Systems. Strong understanding of tender documentation and technical specifications. Ability to interpret single-line diagrams and electrical drawings. Experience in costing, quotation management, and commercial proposal preparation. Familiarity with EPC, contractor, consultant, and end-user tendering environments. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), with the ability to analyze data and solve routine problems. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively without direct authority. Fluent in written and spoken English.
