As a Senior Industry Manager for Production Environments, you will lead strategy for a significant industrial operations domain or opportunity, helping manufacturers, distributors, process facilities, and other asset-intensive organizations become more connected, efficient, and resilient. This role sits at the intersection of industry expertise, market strategy, and technology innovation. You will combine deep understanding of customer workflows with market and competitive insight to identify opportunities, shape strategic choices, influence product, portfolio, investment, and go-to-market priorities, and help move high-value initiatives into action. You will work across Product, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, and partner teams, and engage directly with customers and the broader industry ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Develop a clear, evidence-based perspective on how production environments are evolving, grounded in customer workflows, business priorities, market dynamics, and technology change Collect and synthesize customer, market, and competitive insights to identify patterns, challenge assumptions, and reveal meaningful opportunities for Autodesk Frame and evaluate strategic opportunities, bringing clarity to customer value, market potential, differentiation, trade-offs, and measures of success Shape market strategy and positioning for priority opportunities, defining where Autodesk can win and recommending where to focus, invest, partner, or sequence activity Translate industry opportunities into clear implications for Autodesk's product, platform, partnership, and portfolio priorities Develop credible recommendations that clarify customer value, strategic fit, capability needs, dependencies, risks, and expected outcomes Influence roadmap and investment decisions across relevant teams by clarifying strategic value, capability requirements, dependencies, risks, and trade-offs Build trusted relationships with customers, industry leaders, partners, analysts, and associations to deepen Autodesk's understanding and strengthen its strategic direction Lead high-value customer and industry engagements that test ideas, surface emerging needs, and advance priority opportunities Represent Autodesk as a credible industry voice and trusted advisor in important conversations about connected production environments Use external engagement to strengthen Autodesk's market perspective, positioning, and ecosystem relationships Create compelling narratives and recommendations that make complex industry choices clear, relevant, and actionable for senior audiences Lead through influence, aligning cross-functional stakeholders around strategic priorities, trade-offs, and decisions Guide material strategic initiatives from insight through decision and early execution, using outcomes and new evidence to refine direction Minimum Qualifications 8+ years of relevant experience in industrial operations, product strategy, market strategy, consulting, enterprise technology, or transformation, or equivalent practical experience Strong knowledge of production environments and the workflows, business priorities, and technologies that shape them Experience developing market, product, business, or transformation strategies using customer research, market intelligence, competitive analysis, and market sizing Demonstrated ability to influence strategic priorities and decisions across cross-functional teams Experience engaging senior customer leadership, partners, and industry stakeholders Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to make complex topics clear and compelling Experience leading strategic initiatives in a matrixed organization Ability to travel approximately 25-30% Preferred Qualifications Experience in manufacturing, process industries,
