Job Description
We are seeking an Account Manager - Telco to support our office.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the assigned Tier 1 Telco and/or Cable account or several accounts. Own the overall customer relationship and engagement strategy. Develop new business contacts with prospective customers, cultivate C-level relationships and act as a trusted advisor to customers. Interact with experts and middle-level managers within customers who contribute to their decision-making process. Be responsible for representing HPE’s portfolio of products and services in a concise, relevant way that resonates with customers and highlights HPE’s key advantages Lead cross-functional teams to facilitate deal progression. Understand customer’s critical business priorities, challenges, and requirements to deliver tailored solutions focusing on driving value for the customer, while maximizing competitive share, revenue, and margin for HPE Identify, qualify, and close new business that results in substantial incremental revenue and margins to HPE in addition to maintain and expand existing products Identify competitive strengths to drive a purchase decision Stay informed and adaptable to HPE’s ongoing product and service developments. Independently work within clear guidelines and use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues. Use analytical skills, functional knowledge, and practical experiences to contribute to problem-solving and process improvements Responsible for achieving sales goals and managing forecast governance across HPE portfolio Education and Experience: University or bachelor's degree preferred Typically, 4-8+ years sales experience. Account management experience desired. Experience in IT industry preferred. Experience working within IT department and/or within customers is a plus. Experience in vertical industry preferred. Must have the ability to create, support and initiate executive level relationships. Strategic Planning: Able to articulate a vision for the future and a path to achieve it in an account business plan, aligned with the HPE strategy, direct leadership, and the HPE business units. IT Industry Acumen: Builds and maintains solid knowledge of cutting edge IT industry developments and technology trends with potential impacts to our customers. HPE Portfolio Knowledge: Builds and continually updates a solid understanding of HPE products, solutions, and service offerings - their value propositions, competitive differentiators, and benefits to our customers and our customers' customers.
