Responsibilities
The job responsibilities include a subset of the following: System performance, CPU/GPU workload analysis, benchmarking and KPI generation. Performance validation and debugging performance issues on windows/Android Compute devices. Architecture analysis and Understanding product features and their impact on system performance for performance optimization Oversees the publication (e.g., writing, reviewing, editing) of product technical documentation for a given tech area. Works with development team to customize Qualcomm software to meet customer requirements. Debugs complex issues in customer software systems; works with development team to identify issues.
Minimum qualifications
Bachelors + 4yrs relevant experience, Master's + 3yrs relevant experience in Computer Science, and/or closely related field Experience with C, C++ programming, RTOS, OS internals, Kernel programming and UNIX/Win/Linux computing platforms is preffered Experience in scripting to utilize that for developing customize tools for profiling system performance Candidates with strong analytic and problem solving skills with background and experience with debugging system performance issues Must be quick learner and should be able to adapt to new technologies. Flexibility to learn and work on new technology areas, Candidate should have good written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Be flexible to assignments and easily work in a team environment. Good understanding of software environments/toolchains Preferred Skills: Basic experience/knowledge on using Windows performance tools like WPA, WPR and GPU View to analyze performance issues. Good to have knowledge on Windows OS Internals. Knowledge of systrace, memory management, schedulers, Proficient in C/C++ programming to write basic applications using VisualStudio to analyze specific DLLs/Function behavior and performance across different architectures. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. • 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. • 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.
