About this role
The Opportunity
Dry Department Operator performs manufacturing activities by following defined procedures and standards to ensure consistent production quality. Tasks include assembling mechanical units or fabricated parts to make sub-assemblies or complete products, and/or using various hand and power tools and operating equipment which may include jigs, dies, fixtures, templates, punch presses, riveting machines, circular shears, and drill presses to cut, file, fit, punch, ream, rivet, form, and/or assemble. Fits, aligns, calibrates, and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product requirements. Monitors quality of products and raw materials. Communicates with colleagues within manufacturing to exchange information, providing explanations or interpretations as necessary to maintain alignment and efficiency. Ensures compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and operational guidelines to support seamless manufacturing processes. Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6 am-4:30 pm (Occasional Overtime) What we’re looking for:
Education
High school diploma or GED required Experience: 1-2 years of mechanical or manufacturing experience in an industrial setting. Experience in cGMP manufacturing a plus Preferred Qualifications: Manufacturing experience Experience handling chemicals. Experience with PIV such as pallet jacks and forklifts. How you will thrive and create an impact: Work safely within the parameters of, and comply with, company Work Instructions and policies. Weighs and fills chemicals or bulk products in accordance with Production Work Order (PWO). Operates production scales, including verifications and calibrations. Sets up, operates, cleans, and maintains the following equipment: automatic heat sealer, electronic floor scale, peristaltic pumps, crusher, auger filling units, autoclave units, vibrating filler units, induction sealing equipment, portable exhaust hood, and other equipment as required. Packages finished product for shipping (boxing, labeling) per work instructions. Manages hazardous materials using all required safety gear. Sweeps and mops floors and cleans workstation after each product filling. Completes documentation in a legible manner; verifies and reviews for accuracy. Maintains expected quality and quantity of work. Follows cGMP policies and procedures for handling, storage, packing, manufacturing, and distributing products. Moves partial leftover containers of product to the designated area for relocation back into stock. Takes precautions to secure warehouse contents against loss. Ensure doors always stay locked and only authorized personnel enter the facility. Supports co-workers in their job responsibilities and is expected to work as a collaborator. Turns off/shuts down equipment when not in use. Performs other duties as assigned.
