Standard Job Description You will be the Electrical Engineer Sr for the Simulation and System Labs (SSL) team which is responsible for delivering cutting‑edge simulation hardware.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Electrical Engineer Sr you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating advanced hardware that powers Man‑In‑The‑Loop (MITL) and Hardware‑In‑The‑Loop (HITL) lab environments. Your responsibilities will include: Develop and document wiring schematics, 2D drawings, parts lists, and configuration control for lab equipment. Perform systems requirements analysis, estimation, and EVMS status coordination to meet cost and schedule targets. Coordinate procurement, vendor engagement, and fabrication liaison for power distribution and avionics interfaces. Oversee hardware checkout, troubleshooting, and integration of MITL and HITL systems. Provide Earned Value Management inputs and collaborate across hardware disciplines. You are a collaborative, results‑driven engineer with a strong background in electrical design and system integration. Further Information About This Opportunity MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. This position is in Fort Worth, TX Discover Fort Worth. Basic Qualifications Bachelor of Science from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or Aeronautics Engineering. Experience in electrical hardware design and interpretation/development of Engineering Drawings, Parts Lists, and/or Bill of Materials. Desired Skills Experience with Electrical Design tools including Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio and/or Capital Logic. Experience with CM Tools such as PDM and/or CAD Datanet or equivalent. Experience with Parts Purchasing systems such as SAP NPRs, P-Card, EMAS or equivalent. Electrical Design/Troubleshooting experience with Electrical, Fiber Optic, and Audio/Visiual equipment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with various hardware equipment vendors/suppliers.
