Responsibilities
ECT Procedure Registered Nurse (RN) Metropolitan Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility) A growing, 144-bed behavioral health facility – Metropolitan Behavioral Hospital provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults and older adults, and perform behavioral health assessments 24-hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues will be offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility provides a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family and individual therapy.
Position
Summary The ECT Procedure Registered Nurse is a registered professional nurse who works with psychiatric patients and performs pre-op, procedure and post-op care for patients receiving ECT treatments. The Registered Nurse will also be trained to perform medication passes, patient assessments, patient discharges, provide patient supervision, patient care, positive patient interactions, and role modeling proper behavior and social skills to patients. The RN coordinates and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. Qualifications
Requirements: Associate's Degree in nursing required, BSN is preferred. A working knowledge of ECT practices and clinical operations. Able to provide Pre-op and Post-op care. Ability to monitor vitals and use a cadiac monitor. This part-time position is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
