Here, you will find more than just a job—you will find purpose and pride.  Your role at Baxter: You as, Spec, MIP-Engineering​ will be a professional that combines the development and improvement of medical products and manufacturing processes with integral project management, ensuring that the business’ objectives are met on time, cost and quality. The role involves develop, optimize and launch medical device products and their manufacturing process, while planning, delivering and leading projects needed for their creation, manufacture, margin improvement (MIP) and implementation. The main responsibility is to generate savings for the business through project planning and execution, and the generation of value improvement ideas as feasibility of these ideas. Leads the site team (Manufacturing, purchasing, planning, Quality, etc) and the external team (R&D, Sustaining, Marketing, Procurement, etc.), leading and/or co-leading project from the margin improvement program (VIP/MIP), new products or compose changes (which includes planning, creation and administration of CAPEX/OPEX) What you will be doing: Lead and handle margin improvement projects (MIP) in line with the site MIP plan and the department’s dedication. Complete the assigned project’s implementation in a timely manner, preventing any possible impact to the manufacturing lines. Find possible MIP project opportunities as self-initiatives regarding direct materials in device manufacturing. Evaluate the scope’s feasibility and verify the financial savings connected to the project. Able to be compatible with the Procurement department on leading on the quoting of materials and/or products related to the generated idea’s maturation and feasibility. Responsible for leading, and managing Workshop, Kaizen and/or VAVE events related to idea generation for MIP Projects, identifying potential feasible ideas, and following up with multidisciplinary teams for the generated ideas. Lead project scheduling and may advise portions of smaller projects or segments of large projects to include supervising costs, resources, workforce loading, etc . Development and completion of process validation (IQ/SV/OQ/PQ/TMV), according to the timeframes established in the project plan, while ensuring the required updates are made to specifications, methods, processes or procedures that are verified or, where appropriate, validated according to standard operating procedures and QSR’s element 820.75, before implementation. Develop and support team members that take initiative and actively implement improvements, reinforcing critical thinking and reasoning for the identified problems, and adapting to leading teams with multifaceted strengths (cultural and generational). What will you bring? Mechanical Engineer, Mechatronic Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Electromechanics Engineer, Systems Engineer or similar. Minimum five years of experience in related positions. Experience in problem solving, project management, acting as project lead, lean practices, six sigma, line transfers. Experience working in ISO / FDA supervised environments and GMP’s. Experience in redaction and execution in process validations (IQ/SV/DOE/OQ/PQ). Oral and written communication in English required (Proficient).
