Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Quality Control Technician – Level 2 or Level 3 to join our team in Magna, UT. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off. In this job, you will: Perform visual, in-process and final dimensional inspections on tightly tolerance piece parts, subassemblies and final assemblies in the production area.    Perform Quality Process Assessments   Performs required inspections in accordance with procedures and planning documentation.  Performs required inspections using standard measurement instruments.    Must be able to work shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required Able to acquire and maintain Employee Possessor (EP) status under the Safe Explosives Act (SEA). Other duties as assigned    This position can be filled at either a Level 2 or Level 3. Basic Qualifications for Level 2: High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.    Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance Experience working with government contractors. SMI (Standard Measuring Instruments) experience Interpret drawings and specifications.   Working knowledge and understanding of GD&T. Excellent shop math skills and advanced trigonometry. Experience with ISO 9000/AS9100 Quality Management Systems. Experience with Continuous Improvement/PES techniques. Must have good computer skills -  MS Office suite. Must be able to work shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required Able to acquire and maintain Employee Possessor (EP) status under the Safe Explosives Act (SEA). Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time, walk up and down stairs, climb up ladders, reach into tight spaces, and lift up to 30 pounds.
