Co-Op Engineer - Gas Storage Engineering

PGL, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a  Co-Op Engineer - Gas Storage Engineering  in our  Fisher, Illinois location. This position reports to the Engineering Manager. This position will begin in January 2027 or May 2027 and will be full-time through the summer and either the Spring or Fall semester. Processes and equipment the Interns and Co-Ops could be assigned to support: Underground gas storage – methane stored at 1750 psi 4000 ft. below surface Field piping, valves, and gas storage wells Station piping, valves, regulators, meters, heat exchangers, and processes Withdrawal process with slug catchers, tri-ethylene glycol dehydrators, reboilers and thermal oxidizers Injection process with three 5000 hp natural gas powered compressors CO2 Removal process LNG Liquefaction process – convert methane from gas to liquid at -260 degrees F LNG Vaporization process – convert liquid LNG back to a gas   Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or HSED Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, and Petroleum Engineering or closely related degree with a graduation date of July 2027 or later. Minimum GPA of 2.8 Valid driver’s license Preferred Qualifications

Prior Internship experience Mechanical Aptitude Mechanical Troubleshooting experience Fluid or Thermal dynamics project experience AutoCAD experience End Date:  11/15/2026    Pay Range Minimum :  $23.10  Pay Range Maximum :  $27.55    The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future.
