About this role
The Corporate Banking Aerospace & Defense Analyst in Europe is an entry-level professional role focusing on the support of the European Aerospace & Defense team delivering a range of treasury / financial solutions, corporate finance and advisory services to clients. The overall objective of this role is to support the Senior client Banker drive client engagement and increased wallet share.
Responsibilities
Participate in client transactions, projects or assignments as the junior member of a professional team The Analyst in Corporate Banking is junior member of team expected to lead on credit analytical work of existing relationships, including periodic review of financial results to monitor performance as well as preparation of credit and capital approval proposals for new requests. Stay abreast of market and industry trends, best practices and the competitive landscape Day-to-day responsibilities include developing client pitch materials tailored to client needs, supporting execution of episodic transactions / financings, and supporting relationship bankers to deepen client relationships Assist with day-to-day activities across cash management, trading activities, FX and loan activity including KYC maintenance and credit limit management Organize and analyze sophisticated financial data used in client proposals and strategic plans Prepare written recommendations and create statistical exhibits Conduct economic/financial research Provide evaluations of a company’s financial performance compared to overall industry and market trends or data Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency Qualifications & Skills: Entry level graduate to up to 2 years of relevant experience Understanding of financial statements, accounting treatments and experience in financial modelling a plus Strong written and verbal communication Proficiency in AI tools and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint Demonstrated planning and organizational skills Aerospace & Defense interest or relevant experience is a plus Education: Bachelor's degree as a minimum This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
