About this role

Intuit's Finance team drives business growth and profitability through strategic, financial and operational leadership. The team brings together finance, accounting, supply chain, corporate strategy and development, and tax professionals who support and enhance Intuit's operating efficiency. As Senior Accountant, you own the accounting, statutory reporting and tax compliance for your entity end to end. You lead the month-end close, bridge results between US GAAP and local GAAP, take personal ownership of the statutory audit relationship, and drive the entity's transfer pricing and tax filings. You work closely with the International US GAAP shared services centre, FITG, FP&A, Treasury and Legal, and you present directly to the CAO on balance sheet fluctuations and accounting standard changes.

Responsibilities

Month-end close, reporting and controls Take full oversight of entity US GAAP month-end close activities and reporting. Partner closely with the International US GAAP accounting shared services centre and FITG (Financial Integrity, Transformation & Governance) to ensure the entity closes accurately and on time. Calculate and post technically complex or one-off journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations as required. Complete monthly P&L and balance sheet analytical review, including commentary and revenue trend analysis, in partnership with FP&A and other key stakeholders. Present quarterly balance sheet fluctuation commentary to the Chief Accounting Officer (CAO). Ensure adherence to Intuit accounting policies. Technical accounting and statutory reporting Research and prepare technical accounting position papers on local accounting issues (US GAAP and local GAAP [IFRS, FRS 102]), including the impact on the entity of new or changing accounting standards. Present updates on changes to applicable accounting standards to the CAO. Prepare the statutory bridge reconciliation from US GAAP to local GAAP on the secondary ledger. Prepare annual statutory financial statements, with input from local accounting and tax advisors as required, and present results to the CAO. Tax and transfer pricing Own the transfer pricing process for the entity: work with Corporate Tax to ensure appropriate agreements are in place, assess local business changes that may affect the current structure, and ensure timely calculation and settlement. Drive the completion and filing of Corporate Tax Returns, liaising with external advisors and the internal Corporate Tax team. Drive the completion and filing of Indirect Tax/VAT Returns, liaising with external advisors and internal teams where necessary. Research technical taxation issues affecting the regional legal entity, documenting conclusions and positions in white papers. Participate in local entity tax audits and inspections. Complete statutory and taxation checklists to support the filing of corporate and statutory returns. Statutory and regulatory compliance Ensure the implementation of internal controls and facilitate SOx compliance, including key and non-key control report validation. Own and act as the point of contact for the annual statutory audit with external auditors, and support internal audits as required. Take full ownership of all other statutory compliance filings for the entity, researching and documenting the process for each filing. Support legal entity structuring, including the creation, liquidation and dissolution of legal entities as required to maintain an optimal group structure. Build local business partners' awareness of local and statutory compliance obligations, and support the localisation of accounting systems to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations. Support other compliance requirements of the entity as required (for example FCA, AML). Stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement Support and facilitate the entity's go-to-market (GTM) offerings through thought leadership.
