Supplier Quality Engineer

Become a part of the “strength within.”  Hexcel is currently seeking a Supplier Quality Sourcing Engineer for our Americas sites; preferred location is Salt Lake City, UT, USA with other Hexcel sites considered. The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations: Managing supplier quality activities across Americas sites and the direct materials supply base. Leading supplier corrective action processes, including containment, root cause analysis, corrective action verification, and closure. Conducting supplier and site investigations related to quality, delivery, capacity, and performance issues. Performing supplier audits and managing corrective actions through completion. Maintaining supplier risk assessments, mitigation plans, action tracking, and status reporting. Supporting supplier performance management through scorecards, business reviews, and trend analysis. Driving supplier qualification, development, risk-reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives. Supporting new supplier onboarding, qualification, and production readiness activities. Collaborating with Quality, Sourcing, Engineering, Research & Technology, Operations, and suppliers to implement supplier development plans.  Supporting sourcing, cost reduction, waste reduction, lead-time improvement, and audit readiness initiatives.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical discipline. Two to five years of experience in quality, manufacturing, process engineering, supply chain, or a related field. Working knowledge of process mapping, problem-solving techniques, and project management principles. Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies. Strong communication, collaboration, organizational, analytical, and supplier relationship management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgment, and identify when escalation is needed. Ability to travel to supplier and Hexcel locations as business needs require (10-15%). Experience in aerospace, composites, or another regulated manufacturing environment preferred Eligible candidates must be a:  U.S. citizen, U.S. national, person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, person admitted in refugee status, or person granted asylum.
