On the floor support for technicians during production, sanitation, and securing technical support when needed. Supports the Company and site safety policies. Coaches and acts as a role model for safe working practices. Leads observations to promote safe working conditions. Develops strategic training plans for team and supports Team Trainer in developing training plans. Completes on-shift paperwork and reports. Uses continuous improvement tools to reduce losses related to equipment/team performance. Owns the team scorecard and ensures accurate data input. Tracks defects and process failures for team. Develops action plans that target outages. Encourages and supports the development of team resources such as equipment experts and functional leaders. Facilitates conflict resolution on team and between other teams to achieve successful outcomes. Develops and communicates weekly team work schedules. Coaches team members to ensure a fully skilled team and high performing team. Manages opportunities for paid time off, offline time for training completion, and ensuring technical skills stay refreshed for self and team members. Fully qualify at your hire level by completing operational, technical, and leadership requirements through our pay and progression process. Completes 1:1’s with team members and assists with team building and continuous improvement efforts. Owns and tracks all results for area, including routine tracking yields and efficiency. Ensures proper materials are available and used. Supports Autonomous Maintenance/Progressive Maintenance on Line: General equipment troubleshooting and support of Technical Resource / team members for troubleshooting activities. Utilizes planning and scheduling Daily Management System to provide proper daily direction for maintenance work as well as procurement of spare parts, completion of Work Orders, etc. Writes and completes Work Orders as needed. Utilizes Defect List and provides direction / coaching to team as needed. Ensures defects requiring Work Orders are written on shift and follows up on completion. Encourages proper Clean Inspect Lubricate (CIL) completion and/or Foreign Material checks in lieu of CILs where appropriate. Ensure centerline completion and compliance on each shift. Validates and ensures proper downtime coding (targeting 100% completion and accuracy). Escalates downtime events appropriately to Area Lead, Technical Lead, and Department Manager. Ensures effective communication on their team during shift, between shifts, and with other departmental resources. Maintains a current 90-day plan throughout the fiscal year. SELECTION CRITERIA EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Associate’s degree preferred. 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing required. At least 1 year of experience leading, coaching others, and delegating work to others required.
