As an Environmental Specialist III or IV, you will need functional and technical expertise and skills in areas of water, waste and remediation. In this role, you will run projects and programs of moderate complexity that require a specialized breadth of expertise. Day in the Life As an Environmental Specialist in Corporate Environmental Programs, you will support enterprise-wide environmental compliance, remediation, sustainability, and operational excellence initiatives across Williams' assets. You will lead and support complex projects such as environmental remediation and site closure activities, waste management initiatives, environmental data management improvements, and the development of company-wide environmental processes and tools. You will collaborate with other environmental and safety professionals as well as Operations, Legal, Land, Engineering, and external stakeholders to ensure regulatory obligations are met, environmental risks are effectively managed, and strategic environmental objectives are achieved. Responsibilities may include managing environmental data systems, developing guidance and training materials, coordinating with regulators and industry organizations, supporting due diligence and integration activities, and driving continuous improvement projects that enhance environmental performance across the company. Senior specialists typically focus on program strategy, complex project leadership, regulatory engagement, and industry advocacy, while mid-level specialists execute project deliverables, perform technical analyses, manage data and reporting requirements, and support implementation of environmental programs and initiatives. Responsibilities/Expectations: Develops, maintains and provides guidance on environmental processes/policies; conducts required environmental training Assesses environmental risk, provides recommendations to address risk and participates in or handles the approved course of action, including required regulatory documentation Participates in environmental project planning and implementation, including scheduling, cost estimating, preparation of environmental impact assessments and reporting Prepares and submits sophisticated applications to procure environmental permits, renewals, approvals, variances, and other authorizations and coordinates with company partners Performs environmental compliance audits and due diligence investigations, as the need arises Develops, recommends and implements improvements for systems and practices in water, waste management and/or remediation activities for assigned areas Assists with the preparation of all required compliance reports/certifications and development and maintenance of documentation related to environmental compliance programs Cultivates relationships between Williams and regulatory agencies Interprets applicable federal, state and local environmental regulations and ensures compliance with such regulations Other duties as assigned Education/Years of Experience: For an Environmental Specialist III - Required: Bachelor’s degree and minimum four (4) years’ environmental experience For an Environmental Specialist IV - Required: Bachelor’s degree and minimum eight (8) years’ environmental experience Other Requirements: Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills Why Tulsa?
