HSE Project Specialist - Europe Powergen

We are looking for a talented HSE Project Specialist - Europe Powergen to join our team specializing in Health and Safety in Chassieu, Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, France In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Lead health, safety and environmental initiatives across PowerGen installation, commissioning and delivery projects, using data, risk insights and continuous improvement methods to reduce risk and improve project HSE performance. Partner with project managers, site teams, engineering functions and key stakeholders to ensure HSE requirements are embedded throughout PowerGen project execution. Support installation, commissioning and delivery activities by ensuring Cummins standards and local European regulatory requirements are understood and consistently applied. Lead project-specific HSE risk management, including review of RAMS, JSA equivalents, dynamic risk assessments and control measures for high-risk activities. Verify site readiness before and during execution, ensuring appropriate controls are in place for work such as lifting operations, electrical work, confined space entry and permit-to-work activities. Support contractor management across European project sites by leading onboarding, HSE induction and ongoing performance monitoring for contract HSE and field personnel. Use HSE performance metrics, audit findings, incident investigations and legal compliance results to identify gaps, prioritize improvements and communicate project progress to stakeholders. Influence a positive HSE culture by coaching teams, supporting formal training, encouraging employee participation and promoting practical solutions that protect people and the environment.
