We are seeking an experienced Casualty Claims Adjuster to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve Commercial Auto Liability and Commercial General Liability claims. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in liability analysis, injury evaluation, coverage interpretation, and litigation management, with the ability to independently handle a moderate to complex caseload from initial notice through resolution. This role requires sound judgment, strong analytical skills, and the ability to balance customer service, financial stewardship, and technical claim expertise. The adjuster will work closely with insureds, claimants, attorneys, brokers, and internal business partners to deliver timely, fair, and compliant claim outcomes. You’ll be responsible for: Claim Investigation, Evaluation and Negotiation Conduct prompt, thorough investigations to determine coverage, liability, damages, and compensability. Gather and evaluate evidence, including statements, police reports, medical records, expert reports, and other relevant documentation. Analyze coverage issues and prepare reservation of rights, denial, and other coverage correspondence as appropriate. Evaluate bodily injury, property damage, and exposure-related claims to determine appropriate resolution strategies. Independently negotiate settlements within established authority levels. Develop and execute proactive claim resolution strategies that achieve timely and cost-effective outcomes. Identify and mitigate claim exposure through effective investigation, evaluation, and negotiation. Ensure accurate claim documentation supporting all decisions and actions taken throughout the life of the claim. Litigation Management Manage litigated files and coordinate with defense counsel to develop case strategies. Review pleadings, discovery responses, deposition summaries, and legal evaluations. Monitor litigation budgets and legal expenses to ensure efficient claim handling. Participate in mediations, settlement conferences, and other dispute resolution proceedings as necessary. Financial and Regulatory Stewardship Establish and maintain accurate indemnity and expense reserves with documented rationale. Continuously evaluate reserve adequacy throughout the life cycle of the claim. Ensure compliance with company guidelines, statutory requirements, and regulatory standards across all applicable jurisdictions. Maintain diary and workload management systems to effectively prioritize and resolve assigned inventory. Customer and Stakeholder Management Deliver exceptional customer service through professional, timely, and empathetic communication. Build strong working relationships with insureds, brokers, claimants, attorneys, and internal stakeholders. Communicate claim status, strategy, and exposure effectively to management and business partners. What you’ll need
