As the Human Resources Business Partner for the Caterpillar Information Technology Division, you will collaborate with an incredible team of HR and Communications professionals to support a global employee based, aligning HR practices with business goals to support organizational success. You will serve as a trusted advisor and consultant on a wide range of HR policies and practices, and you will find yourself accomplishing a wide variety of fun, challenging, and meaningful work as you lead initiatives that foster a positive employee experience.
What You Will Do
Collaborating with management as a strategic advisor helping identify and prioritize HR initiatives that align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives. Aligning HR policies and programs to promote employee engagement, retention, and performance. Acting as a trusted coach providing guidance to leaders and managers on HR-related matters, including performance management, compensation, and benefits, etc. Analyzing HR metrics and data to identify trends and opportunities and develop a story to provide data-driven recommendations to management. Support organizational change initiatives by applying change management principles. Support a culture of continuous improvement by providing coaching and feedback. Facilitate conflict resolution, inquiries, and disciplinary actions as necessary. Work with global HR partners and process owners. What You Have: Human Resources Consulting: Knowledge of HR approaches, tools, and techniques; ability to inform, guide and advise managers in HR-related initiatives. HR: Policies, Standards and Procedures: Knowledge of human resource function; ability to uphold the organization's and industry's standards, procedures, and policies regarding human resources management. Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization. Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations. Global Perspective: Knowledge of issues, opportunities, and challenges for conducting business in the international marketplace; ability to apply global perspectives appropriately in a wide range of situations. Knowledge of Organization: Knowledge of the organization's vision, structure, culture, philosophy, operating principles, values, and code of ethics; ability to understand the value of aligning capabilities with business goals to support optimal performance. Data Gathering and Reporting: Knowledge of tools, techniques, and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company.
