Overview Ericsson Japan is seeking a Solution Architect who can drive improvements in customer network quality and support business growth through the effective utilization of high quality mobile networks. This role plays a critical part in solving complex customer business challenges by leveraging Ericsson's industry leading technologies and expertise. Background Mobile networks, particularly Radio Access Networks (RAN), have traditionally been viewed primarily as a part of communication infrastructure. With the rapid evolution of AI, cloud technologies, and emerging use cases, operators increasingly require flexible networks capable of supporting differentiated services. To enable this vision, superior network quality is essential. At the same time, operators must improve business profitability through premium network services, including network slicing and other advanced capabilities. Ericsson is expanding its consulting and solution capabilities and is looking for a Solution Architect to propose, validate, and commercialize solutions that improve network quality and enable differentiated services. Business Network Consulting Mission As a trusted business partner, the team works closely with customers to address network challenges strategically, overcome such challenges as well as support business growth through RAN consulting services. Leveraging Ericsson's global expertise is one of Ericsson’s strengths, where team members collaborate with stakeholders across Japan and internationally to identify the most effective solutions. The role also requires demonstrating solution values through data driven analysis, supporting customer adoption, and sharing know-how accumulated through local experiences globally Since the organization works closely with sales and product solution teams, promoting and expanding the value of service business opportunities are also an important role. Key Responsibilities As a Solution Architect, following roles are expected to be a technical leader in project (service) delivery. Moreover, there are chances that service CSR (Customer Solution Responsible) or its supporter role is also expected to deal with pre-sales or sales engagement activities Investigation of mobile network quality related issues Conduct network performance analysis using field measurement data, drive test results, and customer network data, including data processing Identify and quantify performance issues and their underlying causes Present findings, insights and/or recommendations towards customers Solution Consideration and Proposal (4G & 5G) Define technical requirements for overcoming identified customer challenges Evaluate, design, and propose appropriate solutions, including hardware, software, and feature deployments Develop and recommend network strategies Leverage global best practices and expertise Propose evaluation methodologies and success criteria Assess and design automation solutions utilizing AI/ML technologies Solution Validation and Proof of Effectiveness Plan and execute laboratory and field trials to validate proposed solutions Analyze evaluation results using various data sources and performance metrics Present outcomes from lab/field trials towards customers with reasonable logical explanation and analyzed data Team Leadership Maintain proactive and professional communication with customers Ensure overall service quality across the project team, including providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers Support project execution progress tracking Facilitate progress reporting and knowledge sharing across internal teams and broader organizational stakeholders. Qualifications Required Qualifications 5+ years of professional experience in the telecommunications industry, particularly in RAN technologies Experience in R&D for RAN, network deployment, feature introduction, network operations, or quality management etc. Fundamental understanding of 4G and
