To learn more, please visit: https://www.NFP.com. NFP’s North American Construction & Infrastructure Group (C&I) is seeking a Project Risk Assistant Advisor & Broker. This role will principally interact with the Senior Advisor & Broker, other colleagues and insurers on a day-to-day basis, with a particular focus on delivery of services to clients and prospects and managing relationships with insurer representatives. Within this role, the principal brokered insurance lines include Builder’s Risk, Project Specific Contractor’s Equipment, and Wrap Up Liability (Primary & Excess). Additional broking responsibilities include Project Specific Environmental, Project Specific Marine/Cargo and Project Specific Professional Liability policies are to be coordinated or placed with other subject matter experts within the team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Drive project risk advisory and broking strategy across key customer segments including but not limited to: Real Estate/Developers (Inclusive of developers focused on frame and mass timber builds) Corporate Capex e.g. energy, utility, power, mining and other sectors Public Sector Capex Contractors (as required) Support the design and adherence of broking and market selection guidelines and protocols as well as tools and templates (pricing proposals, submissions) for the C&I Practice Assist in all aspects of a project risk placement cycle, which include but are not limited to Advising account management teams and/or clients on best-in-class route for procuring project risk Reviewing and suggesting changes to insurance parameters in the main construction contract Collecting and analyzing risk information from the client Preparing submission documentation, communication and presentations to insurers Assist in presenting and negotiating terms, conditions, coverage limits and pricing with insurers and wholesalers. Where able, respond to client or colleague queries and concerns to resolve issues promptly Attend client meetings (specific to the project), in person and/or web-based, as a part of the team to strengthen and hone client communication and presentation skills Prepare or coordinate preparation of coverage comparisons, diagnostics, consolidated coverage/policy analyses, letters and reports Assist in the presentation of proposals to producers and account management teams and participate in client presentations Maintain a diary (follow-up system) to ensure policies, endorsements and other information is received to align with requests Assist the Senior Advisor & Broker with the deployment of data and analytics to provide relevant program insights for colleagues and clients Commence the development of productive business relationships with key insurance underwriters, wholesale partners and local NFP account management teams while executing on NFP’s broking strategies, including strategic carriers, panels, and preferred wholesaler utilization Optimally negotiate with insurance carriers demonstrating a solid command of the risk; assist in driving financial and non-financial outcomes that support organic revenue development and retention, seize upon opportunities to creatively upsell and cross-sell Assist the Senior Advisor & Broker to engage with account team and markets to coordinate cross-sell and up-sell initiatives; effectively close coverage gaps or deficiencies, support the account team in increasing client product density, enhancing account profitability and margin Education And/or Experience Prior client servicing experience within
