About the Role

As a Product Systems Engineer, you will be the technical lead for systems integration across the Process Analytics product portfolio. Working closely with mechanical, electrical, operations, quality and commercial teams, you will develop, integrate and sustain products that meet customer requirements, regulatory standards and manufacturing objectives while driving continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.

What You'll Do

Develop and integrate electrical, electronic and system designs for Process Analytics products. Support customer orders, product sustaining activities and new product development. Maintain engineering designs, documentation, Bills of Material (BOMs) and product data within PDM and ERP systems. Execute Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and support configuration management. Partner with global engineering, operations, sales and project teams to deliver custom engineering projects. Provide design-for-manufacture support and collaborate with global manufacturing partners. Develop production drawings, component specifications and engineering documentation. Support supplier qualification, quality improvement initiatives and non-conforming material resolution. Apply industrial automation, PLC and fieldbus technologies to integrated product solutions. Participate in LEAN, continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechatronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Experience

Minimum 7 years' experience in a relevant engineering role. Experience supporting complex engineered products from design through manufacturing and product sustaining. Experience with industrial automation, instrumentation, electrical systems and product integration. Experience with PDM/ERP systems, engineering change control and Bills of Material. Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, EPLAN or equivalent engineering design software is desirable. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles. Knowledge of PLC programming, industrial communication protocols and control systems. Ability to apply Australian and international engineering standards. Excellent communication, project coordination and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality, safety and delivery objectives. Other Important Information  Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
