What You Will Do
The Quality Non‑Working Team Lead supports the Quality Systems and Compliance Manager by overseeing document control, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance activities. This role ensures consistent adherence to quality standards across the site through effective record management, coordination with regulatory bodies, and leadership of quality support functions. Coordinate and support quality matters involving the FAA. Assist the Quality Systems and Compliance Manager in maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS), including processes, procedures, requirements, and performance metrics to ensure compliance. Prepare, update, and maintain quality documentation, processes, and training materials. Manage the Documents/Library Department, Quality SharePoint, HQMS, and oversee daily activities when the Quality Systems and Compliance Manager is unavailable. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure quality systems remain compliant, efficient, and aligned with customer requirements. Conduct and support internal audits, including identifying non‑compliance issues and recommending corrective actions. Provide support during external customer audits and regulatory audits. Ensure products and processes meet all applicable regulatory standards. Oversee supplier quality performance, including prevention measures, monitoring, escalation, and managing non‑conforming material submissions in the absence of the Quality Systems and Compliance Manager. Execute supplier escape management activities, lead root cause investigations, and recommend corrective and preventive actions for systemic supplier issues. Provide leadership to Quality team members, supporting EH&S, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement objectives. Perform product, process, and work instruction audits. Manage Metallurgy and Metrology Labs and oversee daily operations when the Quality Systems and Compliance Manager is unavailable. Manage training activities and supervise the Training Coordinator when needed. Organize, track, and maintain employee training and cross‑training to ensure adequate staffing resources. Facilitate weekly Toolbox Talks to communicate updates and important information to the team. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
You Must Have: HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) with a minimum of 6 years relevant experience.
