Job Overview
Oversees and ensures compliance with trade laws and regulations within assigned area, focusing on risk assessment, investigations, and regulatory adaptation to safeguard the organization's import/export activities. Your main tasks
Serve as TE’s senior representative with customs authorities, government agencies, brokers, and industry associations across Morocco and Tunisia. Lead the strategy, governance, and continuous improvement of North Africa’s customs and trade compliance program. Partner with business leaders to provide trade compliance guidance that supports growth, market expansion, and supply chain optimization. Oversee customs compliance operations, including broker management, customs programs, bonded manufacturing, FTZ operations, valuation, post-entry reviews, and corrective actions. Drive data-driven compliance and performance management through trade analytics, KPI development, and risk monitoring. Lead customs process and systems enhancements to improve compliance, automation, efficiency, and cost savings. Monitor regulatory developments and implement compliance strategies in partnership with GTS Governance and business stakeholders. Direct the selection and performance management of customs brokers, service providers, and trade compliance solutions. Lead cross-functional planning and governance reviews to align priorities, assess performance, and drive continuous improvement. Your ideal Background:
Master's degree required; International Relations, Supply Chain, Law, or a related field preferred. 8+ years of international trade experience with deep expertise in customs compliance, import program management, bonded manufacturing, FTZ operations, and trade risk mitigation. 3+ years of leadership experience managing trade compliance, customs operations, or related functional teams preferred. Proven experience engaging with customs authorities and government agencies. Experience supporting global manufacturing and supply chain operations within complex, multinational organizations preferred. Strong knowledge of customs, import, and trade compliance regulations across Morocco, Tunisia, and the broader North Africa region. Demonstrated success designing and implementing trade compliance programs, policies, controls, and risk management practices. Proven ability to build trusted partnerships,
