Position Summary The Dairy Supervisor is responsible for supporting the daily operation of the dairy department by ensuring product availability, freshness, merchandising excellence, and exceptional customer service. This role provides leadership to department associates, oversees inventory management and product rotation, and helps drive sales, profitability, and operational efficiency while maintaining compliance with company policies and food safety standards. Key Responsibilities Department Operations
Oversee daily dairy department operations and ensure consistent execution of company standards. Maintain proper stock levels and ensure products are available for customers. Monitor department conditions, cleanliness, and organization throughout the day. Execute merchandising plans, promotional displays, and seasonal programs. Ensure proper product rotation and inventory management practices. Customer Service
Deliver exceptional customer service and foster a customer-focused environment. Assist customers with product selection and product-related inquiries. Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly. Promote department products and sales opportunities through product knowledge. Leadership & Associate Development
Provide leadership, coaching, and support to dairy associates. Assist with associate training, scheduling, and daily task assignments. Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment. Support performance management and associate development initiatives. Inventory & Financial Performance
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and replenishment. Manage shrink, spoilage, and product freshness to maximize profitability. Support labor management and department expense control efforts. Help achieve departmental sales and profitability goals. Food Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and company policies. Maintain proper storage temperatures and refrigeration standards. Ensure proper handling, labeling, and rotation of all products. Assist with audits, inspections, and corrective action plans as needed. Merchandising & Product Quality
Maintain attractive and fully stocked product displays. Ensure products meet quality, freshness, and presentation standards. Monitor expiration dates and remove unsaleable merchandise. Support seasonal merchandising and promotional initiatives. Qualifications
