What you’ll do The role responsibilities include: · Review power system study methodology, assumptions, network models, input data, study cases, results, and recommendations. · Review load flow, short circuit, reactive power compensation and reactor sizing, dynamic studies, and EMTP transient study deliverables. · Confirm that study outputs are properly reflected in substation, transmission line, protection/control, and equipment specification requirements. · Identify modelling gaps, technical risks, operating constraints, equipment rating concerns, and grid compliance issues. · Support client technical discussions, study review workshops, and comment resolution with contractors or study specialists. What you’ll have · Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline; power system specialization is preferred. · Minimum 10 years of relevant power system study experience for transmission, grid interconnection, utility, renewable/geothermal, or power infrastructure projects. · Strong experience with 500kV or EHV network studies is preferred. · Proficient in PSS/E for load flow, short circuit, dynamic studies, or related analysis. · Experience reviewing EMTP transient studies and reactive compensation/reactor sizing studies is preferred.
